Trauma is a word that is often misunderstood. It can cripple a person emotionally and psychologically. Trauma keeps you stuck in the past.

You would have read about post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that our war vets often experience, but did you know that you can also acquire PTSD from less dramatic experiences, especially when there are several experiences that build up?

While you can suffer for years with PTSD, you can also heal relatively rapidly, depending on the person. By mentally rewriting the past and the events which occurred, you can literally rewind and rewire your brain, to leave the trauma behind.

When rewinding is used in conjunction with regression techniques and future building approaches, hypnotherapy and NLP can help you to get unstuck and move forwards.

Many people do not respond well to talk therapy – for them it just fixes the trauma more strongly. With these people hypnosis and NLP are even more effective because the therapy relies upon the processes and techniques, not on talking it out.

If you have trauma, whether from relationship, workplace or other abuse, external events or other experiences, you might like to shed that old skin once and for all. Once you do so, you don’t need to keep going back there. Trauma keeps you stuck – get rid of it.
